Catalyst: The layered image found on Etsy of a “Sunrise” was indeed a powerful inspiration: https://www.etsy.com/listing/725538496/digital-files-sunrise-cricut-svg-cnc
Challenge: Taking half the Etsy image and rotating, mirroring that design produced an intricate pattern that lent itself to the layering process. This design became the source of experiments with cropping patterns: see “Dancing Flames” and “Susannah’s Petals”.
