Catalyst: Celtic designs are explained in https://blog.udemy.com/celtic-knot-meanings/ “Like their design, Celtic knots seems to have no beginning and no end in our lives. They appear in the earliest cave art and are everywhere in our daily lives… Their enigmatic, maze-like patterns have always been a source of fascination.”
Challenge: The early challenge was to treat intersecting paths so they didn’t cut the design into pieces. This was a revelation in seeing negative spaces. The paths were easily outlined and the union of paths created. What dropped out of this configuration were the negative spaces which could be filled with layers of color.
