Catalyst: A visit to the Alhambra in Granada, Spain inspired this work. Dynamically distorted triangles repeated in a mosaic pattern were suggestive of the works of Maurits Cornelis Escher who echoed these patterns in his art. One wonders if he had visited the ancient Moslem palace in the past.

Challenge: Adding depth to the Moslem mosaic gave the piece a more dynamic perspective. One can have it with or without the stars that were embedded in each of the triangles in the original art.
