Catalyst: A visit to the museums in Anchorage Alaska sparked an interest in Inuit and Native Alaskan art. Simple imagery depicts many of the mythical and traditional beings found in this unique culture.  The eagle is an important element in their mythology.

Challenge: While deviating from the traditional colors of white, black, and red, this image uses both gold and brown. The layering process involved showing separate colors at the right time, skipping intervening layers to get the right effect.
